The Enhancing Cancer Care Of Rural Dwellers through Telehealth and Engagement (ENCORE) study is a multi-site study based at the Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center (VICC) with partners such as the Baptist Cancer Center. Through the ENCORE study, we seek to improve comprehensive cancer care delivery to patients living in rural communities through *telehealth-based strategies directed at both patients and their treating providers.

As part of the ENCORE study, cancer patients may participate in an educational program to receive education materials to help manage some of the aspects of their cancer diagnosis. Through this process, we hope to better understand how to roll out educational and supportive care programs for cancer patients, particularly those living in rural communities in which cancer care is harder to access. We will also provide resources to the oncology providers of these cancer patients, through hosting remote meetings (called “molecular tumor boards”), through which they can get feedback about tumor testing results and have the opportunity to discuss treatment strategies for their patients.

The Survivorship Study is conducted in collaboration with Baptist Cancer Center and Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center in an effort to offer patient navigation to deliver cancer survivorship care through *telehealth in rural areas. The goal of this study is to improve long-term health outcomes for cancer survivors. *Telehealth refers to the use of technology, such as phones, tablets, and/or computers, to support long distance clinical healthcare and patient education and support.

Point-of-Care Genetic Services: Tool for Inherited cancer Predisposition counseling and testing Study (TIPS): Goal of this study is to assess usability and implementation of online pre-test genetic risk assessment services for underserved rural patients who would otherwise be provided this service through a traditional in-person pre-test genetic counseling appointment. Through this study, enrolled patients referred by their provider have the ability to complete information necessary for genetic risk assessment in the comfort of their own home through completing an online questionnaire to collect personal and family cancer history and watching a video, called GeneCounsel, to provide education about inherited cancer and genetic testing.
