Denise is responsible for clinical research implementation and support across institutions for the ACTION studies. Along with participant engagement and support during and post enrollment in the study, while simultaneously incorporating data collection and analysis to gauge care improvements and patient outcomes. All in efforts to develop translational practices that can bring quality care and educational interventions to patients undergoing cancer treatment in rural communities. Denise’s research interests are developing patient-centered, culturally competent and accessible clinical practices that will improve care techniques and overall health outcomes for underserved communities and those with healthcare barriers. Denise earned her B.A. in Anthropology and Sociology from Whittier College. She also enjoys coffee and great food.
