What is the purpose of monitoring beat-to-beat blood pressure?
Monitoring of beat-to-beat blood pressure is done in order to continuously track blood pressure changes in response to the various tests in a non-invasive way.
How is the test performed?
Beat-to-beat blood pressure monitoring is done non-invasively. Prior to autonomic testing, a bracelet-like device is attached to the wrist and a velcro strap that is attached by a cord to the wrist piece is wrapped snugly around a finger. The device is worn for the duration of testing.
