Sarah Raskoff, Ph.D

Sarah Raskoff, Ph.D. is an Assistant Professor of Philosophy at Vanderbilt University and Core Faculty at Vanderbilt's Center for Biomedical Ethics and Society. From 2022-2023, she was a research fellow at the Uehiro Centre for Practical Ethics at the University of Oxford and from 2020-2022, she was a postdoctoral fellow in the Department of Bioethics at the National Institutes of Health. Before all that, she completed her PhD at the University of Arizona.

Sarah works primarily in practical ethics, especially in bioethics. Her research in bioethics focuses on the use of nudges in clinical and research settings, and on understanding and reforming bioethical practice and consultation. She is also interested in the ethics, strategy, and psychology of veganism. Outside of practical ethics, she works on metaethical questions about the nature of moral judgment and motivation.
