Children's Hospital Outpatient Care (CHOC) Orientation

Welcome to Monroe Carell, Jr. Children's Hospital at Vanderbilt.

All new licensed and non-licensed clinical staff who have direct patient care attend Children’s Hospital Outpatient Care (CHOC) Clinical Orientation after attending Medical Center Orientation.  During CHOC Clinical Orientation, participants review skills and participate in didactic and discussion sessions. 

Please see the below information and schedule for an overview of orientation for new clinical hires in CHOC (eg. RN, LPN, MA, PCT). Please note that ancillary clinical new hires (eg. EEG Tech, Sonographer) will follow a unique schedule based on role and will need to follow the orientation schedule outlined in the welcome email from Nursing Education and Professional Development.
