Ashley Ried, MMHC, BSN, RN, CPPS, NE-BC

Ashley began her pediatric nursing career at Monroe Carell in 2010 in the Pediatric Cardiac Intensive Care Unit (PCICU). Ashley received her BSN from Samford University in 2009. Ashley also holds a Master of Management in Health Care from Vanderbilt University, Owen Graduate School of Management, 2016.
She has over 10 years of quality improvement and patient safety experience with a focus on nursing-sensitive quality indicators, medication safety, and employee safety. Ashley has completed advanced training in improvement science via Quality Academy (2017) and Cincinnati Children’s Advanced Improvement Methods (2019). Ashley utilizes this training to design, implement, study, and mentor others in quality improvement initiatives at Vanderbilt University Medical Center.
Ashley is a Certified Nurse Executive awarded by the American Nurses Credentialing Center (ANCC) and a Certified Professional in Patient Safety (CPPS) awarded by the Certification Board for Professionals in Patient Safety (CBPPS). Ashley led the Children’s Hospital to their 4th Magnet designation in 2022.
