Kate has over 29 years of experience in pediatrics including acute care, emergency services, and hematology/oncology. Kate has administrative responsibility for Emergency Services including the Pediatric Emergency Department, Outreach Team for our Comprehensive Regional Pediatric Center, Neonatal Outreach Team, Neonatal, and Pediatric Transport Team, and the Resuscitation Program. Kate believes improving the safety and quality of family-centered care is the key to these programs' success.  She also has a passion for leader development and supporting nurses throughout their career.

Kate received her Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Tennessee Technological University and her Master of Science in Nursing from Walden University. She currently holds specialty certification as a Nurse Executive, Advanced from the American Nurses Credentialing Corporation (ANCC).
