The Community Health Team at VUMC is responsible for conducting the hospital's Community Health Needs Assessment (CHNA) and Implementation Strategy (IS) every three years as mandated by the 2010 Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act. The most recent CHNA/IS was approved and adopted by the VUMC Board of Directors in February of 2023.
