Julia A. Hamilton
Julia began her career as a clinical social worker in the Pediatric Social Work Department at Grady Hospital in Atlanta, GA. Her experience as a medical social worker led her to pursue opportunities in quality assurance and healthcare compliance.
Prior to joining Vanderbilt University Medical Center in 2016, she worked as the Corporate Compliance Manager at Meharry Medical College where she managed the day to day operations of the compliance program; including conflict of interest; monitored areas for risk; performed internal compliance investigations and audits; assisted in developing and implementing strategic and operational work plans for the compliance program; assisted in developing policies and procedures designed to promote compliance with regulatory requirements; and served as a resource for the college in obtaining information or clarification on healthcare standards, accreditation, licensure guidelines and regulatory requirements.
Julia has a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Social Work. She is also a Licensed Advanced Practice Social Worker (LAPSW) and is Certified in Healthcare Compliance (CHC). She is a member of the Society of Corporate Compliance and Ethics (SCCE) and is a Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP).
Julia is also the Director of the Protection of Minors (POM) Program.
