Nathaniel Chapman

Nathaniel Chapman is a graduate student in the department of Pathology, Microbiology and Immunology at Vanderbilt, mentored by Dr. James E. Crowe, Jr.  He obtained his B.S. from Sewanee:  The University of the South in biochemistry.  There he worked on the cellular response to oxidative stress in idiopathic pulmonary fibrosis.  Following undergrad, Nathaniel researched epigenetic gene regulation of lncRNA expression in various T-cell subsets.   Nathaniel entered Vanderbilt as part of the Interdisciplinary Graduate Program (IGP) in 2016.  Currently his research involves isolating and characterizing human monoclonal antibodies against Rift Valley Fever and Crimean Congo Hemorrhagic Fever.
