Ben Fowler, BS
Ben Fowler is a graduate phase MSTP student in the department of Pathology, Microbiology, and Immunology at Vanderbilt University. He graduated from Penn State University in 2016 with B.S. in Immunology & Infectious Disease and B.S. in Toxicology. His undergraduate research at Penn State investigated the mechanism of transmission of Ophiocordyceps unilateralis sensu lato, more commonly known as the zombie-ant fungus. He joined Vanderbilt University School of Medicine immediately after graduating and has since completed his didactic and clerkship years. Ben joined the Crowe Lab in fall 2018 and will be co-mentored by Dr. James E. Crowe and Dr. Eric Skaar. Currently his research focuses on isolating and characterizing human antibodies to Acinetobacter baumannii.
