Monique Porter
Graduate Student
Monique Porter is a graduate student in the department of Pathology, Microbiology, and Immunology at Vanderbilt, mentored by Dr. James E. Crowe, Jr. She obtained her B.S. in Microbiology from Pennsylvania State University in 2021, where she conducted bumblebee research characterizing pathogenic microbes that infect Bombus impatiens queens and their respective impact on physiology and reproduction. She joined Vanderbilt University School of Medicine Interdisciplinary Graduate Program, immediately after graduating and joined the Crowe Lab in Spring 2022. Currently her research focuses on isolating and characterizing human antibodies to pertussis toxin.
