Prospective Interns
Eligibility
To be eligible for the intern program, the pharmacy students must be enrolled in an ACPE-Accredited Doctor of Pharmacy program. For the year long internship, the Doctor of Pharmacy program must be located in Nashville,TN. For the summer internship opportunity, the students may be enrolled in any ACPE-accredited Doctor of Pharmacy program in the country.
Expectations
The pharmacy internship at VUAH is built to prepare students for the next step in their career post-pharmacy school. To prepare interns for this we hold students to the same expectation that we ask of our pharmacists. We expect the utmost professionalism, including timeliness, respect of coworkers and patients, and a willingness to provide excellent patient care. We also expect our interns to be highly motivated individuals who are participating in innovative strategies to advance the profession and improve the level of patient care provided at VUMC.
