  • References: send the following survey link to your three (3) references for completion prior to the March 31 deadline: https://redcap.vumc.org/surveys/?s=JFL9E48FHPWTP8NC
    • Once a survey is submitted, the individual will receive a confirmation e-mail. You are encouraged to follow up with the listed reference for confirmation.
    • Recommendations from academic and work related experiences are considered professional. Only three references will be evaluated with your application; additional references should not be sent.
    • Note that all references may be subject to verification for authenticity.
  • Transcripts: official transcripts for ALL post-secondary coursework sent directly from the Institution in a sealed envelope or emailed directly to CPiAHadministration@vumc.org.

SELECTION PROCESS

After review of all submitted applications by the Admissions Committee, qualified applicants are granted a phone interview with the Program Director. Top candidates are offered a subsequent interview with faculty and staff. The following criteria is considered in the evaluation of all applicants:

  • Overall GPA
  • Completed pre-requisite coursework GPA
  • Reference scores
  • Interviews
  • Professional Potential (comprehensive rating of the applicant's overall preparedness)

The top 5 applicants are offered admission and the next 5 applicants are offered an alternate position for that same year.

*The Admissions Committee reserves the right to request additional interviews.

The VUMC-DMS Program does not accept incoming academic or experiential credit.
