The focus of the Harrison lab is the role of vitamin C and its transporters (SVCT1 & SVCT2) in brain function during development and in neurodegenerative diseases.
We are also interested in dietary and environmental factors that drive Alzheimer's disease, particularly in its early stages. These areas offer potential to intervene in disease pathogenic pathways and delay or prevent disease development and cognitive decline.
