As the Chief Business Officer and Treasurer for Friends in Global Health (FGH), Anne Neubecker has more than two decades of experience in finance, administration, and grants management. Since joining Vanderbilt in 2003, her foundational role and continued guidance have been essential to the development and growth of Friends in Global Health, as well as other areas within Vanderbilt. Her understanding of financial and compliance issues with sponsors and in-country governments and institutions is unique. Ensuring adherence to all relevant regulations and policies, appropriate cost controls are in place, and records are appropriately maintained are a few tasks within her purview. She has extensive experience working in collaboration with her FGH colleagues in Africa, with an emphasis on building local capacity. She also serves as a liaison to the VUMC offices involved in all aspects of administration, including the Office of Sponsored Programs, the Office of Contracts Management, Human Resources, and the Department of Finance.
