Themos Ntasis, PhD, MPH
Themos Ntasis serves as the Country Director for Friends in Global Health (FGH). Under his leadership, FGH has expanded and improved HIV care and treatment services in nearly all districts of Zambézia Province by building relationships with the Ministry of Health and donor agencies, and successful implementation of new programs.
Prior to joining FGH in 2015, Dr. Ntasis designed, managed, and directed development programming for International Relief and Development as the Regional Director for Africa. In this role, he focused on economic growth, nutrition, WASH, and humanitarian assistance programs for Malawi, Uganda, South Sudan, Somalia, Zimbabwe, and Mozambique and worked with USAID, WFP, UNICEF among others. He is fluent in Portuguese, English and Greek.
Dr. Ntasis completed his Ph.D. at the National Technical University of Athens in Greece and received his MPH from Columbia University in New York.
