Caregiver Support

At Vanderbilt we understand that family members are an integral part of the healthcare team.  We also know that the role of a caregiver can be challenging in many ways. Those caring for loved ones with dementia are at a higher risk for burnout. We believe caring for families is an essential part of caring for our patients.

Nashville FTD Caregiver Support Group

If you have a loved one with Frontotemporal Dementia (FTD) we welcome you to join our Nashville FTD Caregiver Support Group. This group provides a place for family members and friends of those with FTD to share their experiences and offer support to each other.

  • Our group is facilitated by a psychologist and psychiatrist both with experience in caring for individuals with FTD.
  • The group meets monthly in a central location near Vanderbilt in the neighborhood of Green Hills.
  • Please email Adriana Kipper-Smith at adrikippers@gmail.com if you are interested in attending our support group
