I am investigating the potential for regeneration in the retinal pigment epithelium (RPE) by modifying the Wnt/β-Catenin pathway, which has been shown to be important during early development and differentiation. We are activating the canonical Wnt pathway by inactivating Axin2, a negative regulator of the pathway to stimulate regeneration.
