Dr. Urbano unites his interest in developmental epidemiology with database structures and health informatics building. He wants to focus on down syndrome in future efforts for monitoring developmental epidemiology in the state of Tennessee. As an example of Dr. Urbano's previous work, he has been linking Vanderbilt's Autism Research Registry to TN State Databases through the Nicholas Hobbs Discovery Grant.
