VIGH's Student Advisory Council and World on Wednesdays will host an information session for the upcoming Global Health Case Competition this Wednesday, November 7, 12 - 1 p.m. in the Student Life Center Lower Level Meeting Rooms one and two. The goal of the case competition is to foster critical analysis and thoughtful action. Undergraduate, graduate and professional students from across Vanderbilt participate in multi-disciplinary teams that work together to develop an innovative solution to a real-life global health-related case. The case may involve issues such as health care policy, public health implementation and planning, business partnership and investment, medical research, logistics management, faith and cultural understanding, and international law. Each team receives 36 hours to research and prepare for their presentation before making recommendations to audience members and a panel of judges. The team that wins will represent Vanderbilt at the annual Emory Global Health Case Competition in Atlanta, GA.
