Brian Heiniger, M.D. candidate 2015, spent his summer in Lusaka, Zambia where he conducted research at the University of Zambia (UNZA) teaching hospital. He documented his experience in a journal and it was published in the Journal of Global Health.
In his article “Patient 095,” Heiniger, details aspects of his recent research rotation in Zambia and shares a meaningful interaction with a patient that changed his understanding of what it means to be a physician.
