An exposure for Vanderbilt General Surgery Residents to practice in a resource-, technology-challenged environment to address the "Systems of Care" ACGME competency and introduce the resident further to the educational and research opportunities in capacity building.
For residents who elect this rotation during the PGY III, IV, or a lab year. The application is worked out by Dr. Rondi M. Kauffmann of VU General Surgery, the liaison for the rotation.
