Jesse Ehrenfeld, M.D., MPH, associate professor of Anesthesiology, Biomedical Informatics, Surgery and Health Policy at Vanderbilt, was recently named to receive the Massachusetts Medical Society’s 2015 LGBT Health Award.
The honor recognizes an individual who has made outstanding contributions to LGBT health.
“This award is particularly meaningful to me, because it represents the tremendous progress we have been able to make in our efforts to provide high quality care to our LGBT patients,” said Enhrenfeld. “This work is important, because LGBT patients continue to experience discrimination and disparities in health, problems which continue to require the joint efforts of our health care providers, the LGBT community and individual patients to solve.”
