Fewer Nashville women are seeking recommended cervical cancer screenings, a new surveillance study shows.
Presented virtually during the annual International Papillomavirus Conference, Deepthi Pemmaraju, MBBS, MPH, CCRP, presented new results that analyzed cancer screenings among women on one private insurance plan and those on public insurance.
Among women 18-20 from 2012-19, the study found 16.7% less screenings among women on public insurance and 9.7 less among women on private insurance.
