Congratulations to John Graves for his recent award of an RO1 Grant to explore Effects of Expanded Coverage on Access, Health Care and Health in the South.
This project will provide timely and rigorous analysis on the impact of changes in the health insurance system on health care use and outcomes among a large cohort of low-income adults in 12 southeastern states. The projects main aims will focus on quantifying the effects of coverage expansion through Medicaid and private health insurance exchanges on access to care, cancer screening and use of preventive clinical services; and on self-reported health outcomes, mortality, cancer care, and use of emergent and inpatient care.
