About the PREFACE Study
The Preserving Fertility After Colorectal Cancer (PREFACE) Study is a clinical research study of individuals newly diagnosed with colon or rectal cancer between age 18 to 49 years at Vanderbilt-Ingram Cancer Center.
Goals of this study include:
1) Delivering evidence that universal insurance coverage of fertility preservation for colorectal cancer patients of reproductive age is necessary.
2) Improving survivorship and health outcomes after a colorectal cancer diagnosis.
3) Driving advances toward comprehensive reproductive health care assessment and delivery of personalized physical/social support strategies to colorectal cancer patients.
