Contact for Gastroenteritis and Meningitis

GASTEROENTERITIS:

Use Standard Precautions for gastroenteritis EXCEPT if patient diapered or incontinent.

For diapered and/or incontinent patients, use Contact Precautions (gown and gloves upon room entry).

MENINGITIS:

Use Contact Precautions (gown and gloves upon room entry).
