VUMC’s PRIDE Resource Group is observing October as LGBTQ History Month with several events:
- The group is putting together a word cloud to send out on National Coming Out Day on Oct. 11. Please send your words of encouragement to those who have come out, are coming out, or are thinking of coming out to pride.erg@vumc.org by Oct. 10.
- Also on Oct. 11, the group will sponsor a Zoom movie night. The movie is "Everyone's Talking About Jamie," and will be shown at 6:30 p.m. to celebrate the theme of coming out. Register at https://redcap.link/OUTmovienight to receive the Zoom link.
- On Oct. 22 from 12:30-1:30 p.m., the group will have a presentation on LGBTQ History 101, a way to learn more about the history and resilience of the LGBTQ community. Register to receive the Zoom link at https://redcap.link/history101.
- On Oct. 25 from 12:30-1:15 p.m., test your LGBTQ history knowledge at LGBTQ Trivia. Players will be playing a fun Kahoot quiz over Zoom.
