All MAGEC fellows are required to participate in the three courses constituting the core curriculum of the program: Advanced Cancer Epidemiology, Molecular and Genetic Epidemiology, and Research Grant Writing. MAGEC fellows are also encouraged to participate in elective course work to supplement the didactic training provided by the MAGEC program directly.
Advanced Cancer Epidemiology
To provide advanced training in concepts and issues central to cancer epidemiology. Topics will include methodology for conducting a cancer epidemiology study, state-of-the-art technologies for such studies, key cancer exposures, biology and major risk factors for common cancers.
