Palina Woodhouse, MD
General Surgery Resident, T32 Research Fellow
Palina grew up in South Florida and pursued an undergraduate degree in biology at Nova Southeastern University before attending medical school at Florida International University in Miami, FL. She then matched at Vanderbilt for general surgery residency which brought her to Nashville. After completing three clinical years of residency training Palina joined the lab to spend two dedicated years working on improving the early detection and diagnosis of lung cancer using various biomarkers and clinical prediction models. She is also pursuing a master’s in public health degree during this time.
In her free time Palina enjoys doing yoga, walking her dog, cooking, reading, and trying new restaurants with friends.
