Heather Grimaudo, MD

Heather C. Grimaudo, MD was born and raised in Upstate New York where she completed her undergraduate education at the University at Albany, SUNY in 2013, graduating summa cum laude and elected into Phi Beta Kappa in her junior year. She obtained dual degrees in biology and psychology with minors in neuroscience and mathematics, and completed an honors thesis on the effects of progesterone and dopamine on neuronal development. Heather then attended medical school at Albany Medical College and conducted research on the effects of deep brain stimulation on the non-motor symptoms of Parkinson’s disease. She was awarded a doctor of medicine degree in the spring of 2017, after which she moved to Nashville and joined the Neurological Surgery team at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Heather’s current clinical interests include cerebrovascular neurosurgery and she plans to graduate in 2024.

Outside of the hospital Heather enjoys outdoor activities with her husband Dan, including rock climbing, running and hiking, as well as yoga, healthy eating, and reading fiction.
