Keyan Peterson
Keyan Peterson grew up in Greensboro, NC. He obtained medical degree from Wake Forest University School of Medicine in 2022. Prior to medical school Keyan studied Music, Business and Biomedical Science at University of North Carolina – Greensboro, Northwestern University and Wake Forest University. During medical school he received student research fellowships from the Neurosurgery Research and Education Foundation as well as Alpha Omega Alpha. He was also honored with the Donald O. Quest award in consecutive years (2020, 2021) for Best Medical Student Abstract at the AANS Annual Meeting, for his work investigating the contribution of KRAS mutations to the development of sporadic human brain arteriovenous malformations. His interests in neurosurgery remain broad and include Neuro-oncology, Functional, Vascular and Spine. Keyan enjoys playing music and sports, attending concerts and sporting events, and spending time with his wife (Lacey) and dog (Henley).
