Kunal P. Raygor, MD, is an Assistant Professor of Neurological Surgery at Vanderbilt University Medical Center, with a specialty in open cerebrovascular and endovascular neurosurgery.

Dr. Raygor received his undergraduate degree from Harvard College where he graduated magna cum laude with highest honors. He received his medical degree from University of California, San Francisco.  He completed his neurosurgery residency at University of California, San Francisco and his endovascular neurosurgery fellowship at the University at Buffalo. His areas of clinical expertise include ischemic stroke, moyamoya disease, carotid stenosis, intracranial atherosclerotic disease, cerebral aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations, arteriovenous fistulas, cavernous malformations, intracerebral hemorrhage, and other neurovascular disorders of the brain and spine.

His research interests focus on metabolic and genomic analyses of ischemic and hemorrhagic cerebrovascular disorders utilizing state of the art techniques including endovascular biopsy as well as novel imaging techniques and clinical outcomes research for neurovascular diseases.

Education:

Dr. Raygor received his medical degree from University of California, San Francisco. He completed his Bachelor of Arts degree (Neurobiology) from Harvard College.

Postgraduate Training:

Dr. Raygor completed his residency in Neurological Surgery at University of California, San Francisco and fellowship in Endovascular Neurosurgery at University at Buffalo.
