I have been a nurse practitioner for 24 years and worked as an RN for 5 years prior. I graduated from Austin Peay State University with a BSN in 1994 and Vanderbilt with an MSN in 1999. I started my nursing career at Vanderbilt as a nurse extern in 1993 and then the Neuro ICU in 1994. I attended graduate school at Vanderbilt while working full time. After graduation I left Vanderbilt and worked in various areas that included primary care, allergy and asthma, and urgent care. I returned to Vanderbilt in 2017, working with Vanderbilt Walgreens clinics. In the fall of 2018, I transferred to Vanderbilt School of Nursing Faculty Practice Clinics. I assisted in the opening of Clarksville Primary Care of which I am still employed today.
Our clinic has grown from 1 to now 4 nurse practitioners. We are in the Vanderbilt Clarksville Multi-Specialty Office, which also hosts multiple pediatric and adult specialties. We are proud to serve the local community, which has shortage of primary care providers. Our patient population includes civilians, army dependents, and veterans.
I grew up in Clarksville TN and live in near by Springfield. I have been married for 29 yrs. and have 2 children ages 19 and 17. My son has just started college at Austin Peay and is majoring in Nursing. My daughter is a junior in high school. I enjoy traveling with my family, painting, and crafting.
