I work in the surgical weight loss clinic at VUMC and see post-operative bariatric surgery patients. I have been in this role for the past 10 years. The best part of my job is having the privilege to be part of our patients’ journey to become healthier and improve their lives. I enjoy coming to work every day where I have the honor to work with so many wonderful people in our clinic-they feel like family.
I am active with our national organization, American Society of Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery (ASMBS), and serve on the Clinical Issues Committee, am also the Integrated Health Co-Chair for ASMBS Tennessee state chapter. In 2022, I was one of the first individuals in the nation to obtain my advanced practice provider certification through ASMBS. I’ve had the opportunity to work on several papers that have been published in nationally recognized journals.
I am engaged to a fellow VUMC NP, Jesse, who works in the MICU. We have a cat, Mina, who we love to spoil! In our free time we enjoy traveling, live music, and watching the Seattle Seahawks.
