From the day he first set foot on the Langford stage working as a stagehand for North Carolina Shakespeare Company, Gary knew there was something special about Langford Auditorium. That was November 1985. With four years of experience in technical theater at Opryland USA, Gary Sinz accepted the position as Audio Supervisor with Vanderbilt University Production Services in April of 1988, and in April of 2023 Gary accepted the position with VUMC as Media Specialist/Building Manager for Langford Auditorium.
Live stage production is his passion.
During his thirty-five years with VUPS, Gary has worked over 3500 shows and events for Vanderbilt. Many of them taking place on the Langford stage. Everything from Student Showcases to “A night with Billy Joel”, Gary has been an integral part of the production process.
