Vanderbilt Microsurgery Course

Course Description:

This intensive three-day course is designed for trainees seeking to develop proficiency in microsurgery, specifically focusing on vessels 1.5 mm or smaller. The course curriculum encompasses:

  1. Basic handling of micro instruments and fundamental suturing techniques.
  2. End-to-end anastomosis of the rat femoral artery and vein.
  3. End-to-side anastomosis techniques.
  4. Vein graft techniques.

The course structure is based on Acland's tapes and is modeled on the renowned Louisville course. Instruction will be provided by experienced Microsurgery faculty with extensive clinical backgrounds.
