I received my B.A. in Biology from St. Mary’s College of Maryland in May 2014. After graduating, I did research for three years as a Post-Baccalaureate at the National Institutes of Health in Bethesda, MD, where I studied rare genetic diseases in the Lab of Dr. Cynthia Tifft. I joined the IGP in 2017 and am now in the laboratory of Keith Wilson, MD in the Department of Pathology, Microbiology, and Immunology.
Research Information
The Wilson lab studies gastrointestinal mucosal inflammation and carcinogenesis associated with Helicobacter pylori and other invading microorganisms. My research project focuses on H. pylori’s ability to modulate the innate immune response, specifically the macrophage.
