MPT Retreat Committee
Molecular Pathology & Immunology Graduate Program

I study inflammatory bowel disease and the underlining mechanisms that play a role in disease severity. Outside of lab, I enjoy going to the gym. It's a great way to not only stay in good health, but also helps you clear your mind and destress.

I'm from Walterboro, South Carolina and obtained my BS in Biology at the University of South Carolina - Beaufort (USCB) in 2022. It was at USCB that I worked under Dr. Edward D'Antonio in his early-stage drug discovery lab for neglected tropical diseases such as Chagas' disease and African sleeping sickness for ~3 years. Right after that I joined the IGP program at Vanderbilt and eventually MPI, working in Dr. Keith Wilson's lab.

Research Information

Currently, I am focused on studying the mechanisms involved in colorectal cancer and IBD and using that information to potentially develop novel therapies to treat these diseases.
