Gore Grand Rounds

John Gore, PhD
"Functional MRI of White Matter (?)"

Functional MRI based on the blood oxygenation level-dependent (BOLD) effect has been used to map the functional architecture of the brain and assess functional connectivity for almost 30 years. Nearly all previous studies have reported BOLD effects only in cortical grey matter. This presentation will demonstrate that BOLD effects also arise in white matter, suggesting that white matter also shows neural activity that can be detected by MRI.

CME/CE credit for Psychiatry Grand Rounds is only available during the live feed time and for a brief time immediately following. The code for this week's session is displayed at the opening and closing of the meeting and also in the Chair's Office Zoom Account Name during the meeting.
