Kaitlyn has worked in the Rollins-Smith Lab for 4 semesters researching the differences in virulence among different isolates of Bd. She also did a great deal of work looking at the virulence levels of Bsal grown at different temperatures. She then went on to study the cell wall components of Bd, Bsal, and Hp and their respective roles in virulence. Kaitlyn graduated from Vanderbilt University in May of 2022 and will attend the University of TN at Knoxville to study veterinary medicine in fall of 2022.
