Daniel Kim, Ed.M, is a first-year PhD student in the Department of Hearing and Speech Sciences at Vanderbilt University Medical Center. Daniel is a member of Speech Kinematics and Acoustics Lab working under Dr. Antje Mefferd. He graduated from Boston College in 2014 with a BS degree in Psychology and from Harvard Graduate School of Education in 2016 with an EdM degree. Daniel focuses on the effects of neurological diseases on speech production. Specifically, he is interested in understanding the articulatory kinematics in dysarthria. His long-term goal is to contribute to motor speech disorders by gaining insights into the underlying mechanisms of dysarthria that can translate into clinical settings.
