Neal D. Hammer, Ph.D.
Former Postdoctoral Researcher in Skaar Lab
An Illinois native, Neal received a B.S in Cell and Structural Biology and M.S. in Microbiology from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign. He earned a Ph.D. from the University of Michigan working on curli biogenesis with the world renowned Dr. Matthew Chapman. Neal’s did his post doctoral training with Dr. Eric Skaar. Neal is currently an Associate Professor in the Microbiology and Molecular Genetics Department at Michigan State University.
