Amanda Hirsch

Former Undergraduate Researcher in Skaar Lab

Originally from Illinois, Amanda entered Vanderbilt as an undergraduate in 2009 majoring in Chemistry. While in the Skaar lab Amanda studied pathways that support metabolic flexibility in S. aureus. Amanda graduated in 2013 and is now back in Chicago continuing to study the pathogenesis of S. aureus at the University of Chicago under the direction of Dominique Missiakas and Olaf Scheneewind.
