Cody Staats, MS
Cody is a Program Manager for the Vanderbilt Tuberculosis Center working on RePORT – Brazil. Before joining VUMC, he worked for Arizona State University's Center for Science and the Imagination. His experience includes nearly a decade of program and grant management overseeing pre-award, post-award, and closeout for gifts/grants from diverse funding sources including the National Science Foundation, National Institutes of Health, USAID, NASA, CDC, Intel, Google, the World Bank, and more.
In 2014 he graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Economics from Arizona State University, which was followed by a Master of Science in Global Technology and Development from the same institution in 2019. Cody won a USAID graduate development research award in 2018 to conduct research on sustainable water futures in the Cantareira watershed of São Paulo, Brazil. He is fluent in Brazilian Portuguese.
