The Transplant Administrator Fellowship, established in 2011, is a two-year program focused on fostering a transplant operations business acumen. The fellow will be an extender for the Transplant Administrator in supporting, facilitating and coordinating transplant business and administrative initiatives and processes and be a member of the Vanderbilt Transplant Management Team. Throughout the two-year program, the fellow will gain broad exposure to transplant operations by developing a working relationship with the solid organ transplant teams, routinely attending meetings supporting clinical and operational efforts, and participating in a variety of projects and initiatives.
The fellow is expected to complete one research project that can be submitted to a national transplant meeting as an abstract and attend the UNOS Transplant Management Forum, the Practice of Transplant Administration Workshop and the American Transplant Congress. If the fellow has an opportunity to present his/her research data at other meetings, he/she will also be expected to attend.
