Dr. Forbes joined our surgical faculty after completing her fellowship in Transplant Surgery and Surgical Clinical Care at Wexner Medical Center at the Ohio State University in Columbus. Her clinical and research interests focuses on kidney and pancreas transplantation, living donor kidney donation, dialysis acccess, critical care and health management and resource allocation.

Dr. Forbes was inducted into  Beta Gamma Sigma, Business Honor Society in 2011. She has been published in various journals including Jama Internal Medicine, JPEN and the Journal of Nephrology. In 2013, she received third place in a clinical forum at the Ohio ACS annual meeting. She is board certified in General Surgery and is a member of the American Society for Transplant Surgeons, the American College of Surgeons and the American Society for Women Surgeons.

Education

In 2001, Dr. Forbes received her Bachelor of Science degree in Biology and Classical Studies from Vanderbilt University and earned her medical degree from Vanderbilt University School of Medicine. 

Post-Graduate Education

In 2010, Dr. Forbes  completed her General Surgery Residency at Vanderbilt University Medical Center and earned an Executive Master of Business Administration from the Fisher College of Business at the Ohio State University. She completed her Fellowship at Wexner Medical Center at the Ohio State University Medical Center in Transplant Surgery and Surgical Critical Care.
