Progressive Care Unit, Vanderbilt Tullahoma-Harton Hospital (VTHH), 3rd Floor

Hello and welcome to our unit!

I'm Kimberly Taylor, RN, PCCN, Assistant Manager of the Progressive Care Unit, also known as VTHH PCU.  We are located on the third floor at Vanderbilt Tullahoma-Harton Hospital (VTHH).

The environment on our unit is focused on teamwork, excellent patient care, and welcoming new team members.

We care for adult patients who are being treated for a variety of medical diagnoses.  Our patients are unique because of their diverse medical needs.

One of the perks of working on our unit is we get to work with such a diverse amount of medical diagnoses and work closely with our local cardiologist to care for these amazing patients.

Our nurses are successful because they have strong assessment and communication skills, excellent focus on teamwork, and trust in themselves and their teammates.

We orient new nurses to our unit through six weeks of unit-specific orientation with a designated preceptor and skills days focusing on skills used on our unit.

We encourage professional growth.

If your career goal is to gain strong assessment skills and an abundance of knowledge for a diverse amount of medical diagnoses, the VTHH PCU can help with this by giving you the knowledge and skills to succeed and grow.  We are always interested in expanding our team of RNs and LPNs.

If you have any questions about our unit, please email me at kimberly.d.mckinney@vumc.org or visit Work for Vanderbilt Health to explore open nursing positions.
