Tanner Thurman is an Associate Application Developer at the Vanderbilt Clinical Informatics Center (VCLIC). He earned his B.S. in Computer Science from Western Kentucky University in 2024, with concentrations in General Computer Science and extensive coursework in Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, and Data Structures.
At VCLIC, Tanner collaborates with healthcare professionals to develop innovative web applications that enhance clinical information accessibility and efficiency. Prior to joining VCLIC, he gained valuable experience as a Full Stack Development Intern at Knobull, where he worked on meta search engine development using AWS services and advanced data infrastructure.
Beyond his professional work, Tanner is passionate about exploring machine learning and AI through various side projects. He maintains an active lifestyle through basketball and fitness training. His technical expertise spans multiple programming languages and frameworks, with a particular interest in AI technologies and full-stack development. In his role at VCLIC, Tanner aims to contribute to advancing healthcare technology through innovative software solutions.
